Blog Journal #2

Throughout my schooling, I mostly used MS Word. It’s a software that I am very familiar with and used to using. I also got word certified in high school which of course helps my skills. I did not start using Google Docs until this year in college. I definitely learned a lot about ISTE Standards for Educators. This was the first time I have heard about it, but I am glad there are known standards that push for the betterment of educators in the digital space. I was surprised there were so many components, but it seems well planned out and constructed. It is important there are also levels for encouraging students as well such as 2.6a and 2.5c. I feel that I mostly disagree with the term “digital native.” Even though one might be born with new technology that does not mean they are going to be automatically better with it than others. Blog Journal #1

 Hello everyone! My name is Jai-Ani (pronounced Jay-On-e). I am from Rochester, New York but I moved to Florida when I was 12. I am a psychology and sociology double major with a minor in education. Lastly, I am graduating so this is my last semester at FSU. I’ve used Microsoft programs during teaching experiences with other peers. I also have tutored students so I’ve used the online programs that the schools use for homework or extra practice. I’ve mainly used Microsoft programs and canva. This course was the first time I’ve used this website or Padlet, so I’m excited to see what other website I discover through this course.  As far as my PLN, I would definitely include the teachers and professionals I’ve met during my undergrad years. I feel like their knowledge has definitely helped me and shaped my career plans.  I also would include my coworkers.
