For grades K-2, one standard for computer science is communications and collaboration. This standard includes multiple benchmarks such as knowing different digital aids that are meant for communication and collaboration, being able to use the right keywords in searches and communication with teaches and peers like on email. The last two standards are being able to use technology to create solutions for problems while working with other students and teachers and lastly to be able to engage and receive helpful criticism during group projects. I would feel prepared to implement this standard by getting students use to online actions and services that include these benchmarks thought the year like emails (even if they’re badly written since they’re so young).

I selected 2nd grade social studies under the standard SS.2.A.1.1 regarding primary and secondary sources for historical inquiry and analysis. This subject had many resources such as 14 lesson plans about topics. This subject included topics like the U.S. Capital or learning about Rosa Parks. These resources would be very helpful in my classroom because it would be a good starting point to creating my own lesson plan for the students learning that day.

It is very important to be a proficient internet searcher as a teacher for many reasons. It is beneficial in finding adequate educational material to introduce to students. It also is important so that you can aid your students in being efficient on the internet too since they will have to use precise internet searchers on future assignments as they get older. One internet searching skill I use when researching journal articles for research is using Boolean search phrases to help gather relevant articles for my search.
